TUKFS Connect: Let’s talk about fibre – how can we make healthier choices more accessible, appealing and affordable?

Fibre is essential for good health, yet most people in the UK do not meet recommended intake levels. So how can we make higher-fibre choices easier for everyone? This TUKFS Connect session highlighted opportunities, developed through TUKFS research, to bridge the gap between dietary guidance and everyday food choices.

Watch our Connect Series event with speakers Professor Julie Lovegrove, Professor Louise Dye, Professor Marcus Tindall and Dr Vic Norton. The session considered key barriers to increasing fibre intake, the role of settings such as schools and other “anchor institutions” in shaping healthier food environments and specific interventions that could translate ambition into action.
